Originally designed in 1991, Stumpastaken has become a true Swedish design classic. Still produced in Sweden today, it is made of 100% recycled aluminum, while the cork bowl is crafted in Portugal from recycled cork.
This makes it an environmentally friendly, sustainable, and locally produced design product. Could it get any better? We don’t think so.

Easy cleaning:
Raw aluminum should not come into contact with water, as it may stain. The best cleaning method is in the oven:
Remove loose wax pieces without scraping the surface. Preheat oven to 60°C (140°F). Place Stumpastaken upside down on a baking tray covered with baking paper, raising it slightly with small cork pieces. Heat for approx. 20 minutes until the wax melts out onto the paper. Remove with oven mitts and wipe with kitchen paper. Repeat if necessary.

Powder-coated versions can be used outdoors under cover, but should not be exposed to too much weather.
