The Stumpastaken is a true design classic.
Designed by Jonas Torstensson in 1991, the original model with space for 16 candles has since been joined by four smaller siblings: Small, Long, Fyran, and Ettan. All Stumpastaken models are made in Sweden from 100% recycled aluminum.
The idea is to avoid wasting candle stubs – collect them and let them burn all the way down in this smart candleholder.

There are several accessories for the Stumpastaken, allowing it to serve as a decorative piece that can change with the seasons and moods.

For the Stumpastaken Small, there are cork bowls in natural or black cork, grids to keep food or teapots warm, stump candles in various colors, and mini vases.

Care Instructions: Raw aluminum should not come into contact with water, as it may stain. Cleaning is best done in the oven.
Remove loose wax pieces without scraping the surface. Set the oven to 60°C and place the Stumpastaken upside down on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper. Elevate the candleholder slightly with small pieces of cork.
Place in the oven for about 20 minutes. The wax will melt and collect on the parchment paper. Remove from the oven using an oven mitt (it will be hot) and wipe clean with paper towels. Sometimes, the process may need to be repeated.

The powder-coated Stumpastaken models can be used outdoors under a roof but should not be exposed to excessive weather conditions.
