The Stumpastake from Born in Sweden is an iconic design classic. It was created in 1991 by Jonas Torstensson and originally designed for 16 candles. Since then, the series has been expanded with four smaller versions: Small, Long, Fyran, and Ettan. All are made in Sweden from recycled aluminum, with the idea that no candle stubs should go to waste – collect them and let them burn completely in this smart candle holder.

Care Instructions: Raw aluminum should not come into contact with water, as it will become stained. Cleaning is best done in the oven.
Remove loose wax pieces without scraping the surface. Preheat the oven to 60°C and place the Stumpastake upside down on a baking tray covered with parchment paper. Elevate the candle holder slightly using small pieces of cork.
Place it in the oven for about 20 minutes. The wax will melt and collect on the parchment paper. Remove it from the oven using an oven mitt (it will be hot) and wipe it with kitchen paper. Sometimes, the process may need to be repeated once more.

The powder-coated Stumpastakes can be placed outdoors under a roof but should not be exposed to too much weather and wind.
