In Portugal, we use a traditional cork factory is dedicated to sustainable production. Right next door, a sandal manufacturer operates – and like any production, leftover materials are inevitable. Instead of letting them go to waste, an ingenious idea was born: Why not combine resources and create something entirely new?

The result? Our unique placemats, made from recycled cork from the cork factory, blended with recycled plastic from sandal production. Together, these materials create a fantastic product – flexible, durable, and with an incredibly stylish finish!
