Stumpastaken Small in bronze – anniversary set at a special price

Stumpastaken by Born in Sweden is a true design classic, celebrating its 35th anniversary this year. To mark the occasion, we are offering this special edition gift set in the limited-edition bronze finish. We have produced Stumpastaken in bronze as a special edition, and once it is sold out, no more will be made.

This complete gift set includes everything you need for a beautiful interior accessory to use and enjoy for many years to come. With the mini vases, the candleholder becomes a decorative centrepiece that can be changed according to the season and your mood – creating an ever-changing focal point on your table.

Stumpastaken was originally designed by Jonas Torstensson in 1991. Since then, the original version, with room for 16 candles, has been joined by four smaller siblings: Small, Long, Fyran and Ettan. All Stumpastaken candleholders are made in Sweden from recycled aluminium.

The idea behind Stumpastaken is simple: don’t throw away your candle stubs. Save them and let them burn all the way down in this clever candleholder.

A range of accessories is available for Stumpastaken, allowing you to transform it into a decorative piece that changes with the seasons and your mood.

Accessories for Stumpastaken Small include a cork bowl in natural or black cork, a warming grid for keeping food or a teapot warm, candle stubs in several colours and mini vases.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Untreated aluminium should not come into contact with water, as this may cause stains. The best way to clean Stumpastaken is in the oven.

Carefully remove any loose pieces of wax without scratching the surface. Preheat the oven to 60°C and place Stumpastaken upside down on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Raise the candleholder slightly using, for example, small pieces of cork.

Place it in the oven for approximately 20 minutes. The wax will melt and drip onto the baking paper. Remove Stumpastaken from the oven using an oven glove, as it will be hot, and wipe it clean with kitchen paper. Sometimes the procedure needs to be repeated once more.

Powder-coated Stumpastaken candleholders can be kept outdoors under cover but should not be exposed to excessive weather and wind.
