Stumpastaken from Born in Sweden is a real design classic.

It was designed by Jonas Torstensson already in 1991 and since then the first one placing 16 candles has had four smaller siblings: Small with 9 candles, Long, 4 candles, Fyran, also 4 candles and Ettan, one candle.
All Stumpastakes are made in Sweden from 100 % recycled aluminum.

The idea with this candleholder is to never throw any end stumps away, instead save them and burn them safely all the way down in this clever candleholder.

In our Stumpastake collection, there are a number of accessories and extras that you can add, so you can use it not only as a candleholder but as a decoration item, that can be easily changed by season or mood.

For Stumpastaken Fyran there are cork bowls in natural or black cork, candles in many colors and two heights aswell as the popular mini vases.

Care taking advice: Raw aluminum should not come in contact with water it will stain the surface. Cleaning is best made in the oven:
Peel away the loose wax without scraping the surface. Heat your oven to 60 degrees C and place your candleholder upside down on a baking tray covered with baking paper. Prop it up a little bit with for example small pieces of cork.
Let it stay in the oven for approximately 20 minutes, then use an oven glove to take it out (it is hot) and wipe of with a paper towel. If necessary repeat the procedure.

The powdercoated versions can be used outdoors under roof, but should not be exposed to too much weather.
